Xmas Happenings and Resolutions for the New Year

Merry Xmas everyone!
Guess what someone got from Santa?
I know, I'm almost a week late, but I got here eventually. I hope you had a lovely Xmas and enjoyed the festivities. New Years Eve tomorrow, no real plans here. At almost 37 weeks pregnant, for some reason I just wasn't up to partying up large! So just a couple of friends and their kids coming over, some may drink, some may not. Some Xbox Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly etc. Pretty quiet!!
D and his cousin on Christmas Day.
Getting 2 toddlers to both look at a camera
at once is HARD!

Baby girl will be here in 12 days!! Less if she gets her way, I have my doubts she is going to wait until my scheduled C-Section date.

Have you made any New Years Resolutions yet? I'm kind of not focusing on it too much at this point in time. I think a new baby will keep me busy enough! There's the usual ones, lose weight, be a nicer person etc, but have added a couple of new ones to the same old same old.

1. Photo a day. Yes I attempted this earlier this year, but this will just be a self photo, and possibly a photo a day of the kids. Once a day for a year is a bloody big ask, but I'm with Dex (and baby when she gets here) every day, so whipping out the camera shouldn't be too hard. Uploading them, now that's a different question. Not planning to upload them until further down the track, so don't worry, you aren't going to be bombarded with a photo of me/my kids every day. But with a 2 year old, a new born and a mummy desperate to get her body back, I'm hoping there should be some interesting changes over a year.

2. Be a more positive person. You get in what you put out. And I find myself forever berating myself at being negative, and more so, being sucked in my other peoples negativity, which then increases your own negative outlook on life. I have a great husband, awesome son, money is pretty tight but we are still better than a lot of people seeing as we have a roof over our heads and food on the table, so I really can't complain!
The very cute letter and treats D and his daddy
left out for Santa and Rudolph.

3. Get back into my walking. Not planning on attempting to walk another half marathon as I did last year, but just walking for health, well being and weight loss. Even bought a fan-dangle new double pram so I can get out there once I am able.

So yeah. Keeping it pretty simple this time around. How about you? Any plans for New Years, or Resolutions that you would like to share?

New Years Resolutions - What's yours?

So it's the 30th December and I thought I would start working on those things we hear so much about at this time of year - New Years Resolutions. Overrated though they may be, I always like to have a few jotted down to try and make myself a better person in the future.

I asked my hubby what his New Years Resolutions are, and you know what he said? "Nothing, I'm perfect" So I asked him, "If you weren't perfect, what would your resolutions be then?" "To be more like me"

**Sigh** It was just another typical conversation with my husband that has an answer for everything.

So anyway, MY Resolutions.

1. Get pregnant with baby #2.
2. To be more relaxed about things... chill a little.
3. Drink more water, eat less crap.
4. Invoke my happy place when driving and not get so Road Ragey.
5. Spend more time on my craftier pursuits, instead of having a box of half finished projects that never gets finished.
6.Get back into my walking. Not another half marathon, but just going for walks more often.
7. Get back on track with my eating.
8. Be more organised with my housework.
9. Take the boy out on more fun outings, instead of mostly just taking him out when I run errands.

So I have a few already. I will probably add more before the weekend, but for the meantime, have you thought about your Resolutions? Any you'd care to share?

Have a great rest of 2010!!
